Please feel welcome to arrange via our Membership Secretary, to come to one of our flying fields, chat with our members & watch what 'goes on' on a flying day, to see if you think it may be for you...

We have a number of experienced flyers who kindly offer their experience & knowledge to aid any new or potential members requiring initial instruction.

We can also provide further training up to the level required to take & pass your BMFA 'A' certification, in-house ( one of our members is a BMFA certified instructor & examiner ) - allowing members to then fly 'solo' at our Club sites.

There will always be lots of advice as to what aircraft, radio-gear etc., would be your best initial purchase ( the majority of our members use Spektrum transmitters & receivers - If you go the Spektrum route, the following may be possible )...

Some members have the ability, via a 'Buddy Box' system, to allow You to fly the aircraft from a second 'bluetooth' transmitter - this enables the models control to be taken-over instantly in an emergency situation, by the instructors master transmitter, saving both the model & on-lookers if the training flight starts to go awry... Control can then be handed-back to the pupil.
